Please be advised: We are adhering to the "Stay at Home" orders that were placed for our State on March 30th, 2020. We have reopened our doors to the public and are practicing safety which includes thorough cleaning of all touched surfaces in every room with approved cleaners from the CDC. Highlands Premier Historic Boutique Inn located directly on Main Street.
The Main Street Inn has been welcoming guests for over 125 years, offering 18 charming and cozy rooms with private baths, individual heating & air conditioning, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi. Many have private balconies. Large stone fireplaces in the dining room and lobby add to the atmosphere.
Rooms in the Main House and Guest House are decorated to reflect the character and grace of this historic structure; many are furnished with antique furniture and appointments.
Our on-site restaurant, Bistro on Main, serves lunch and dinner from May through November, and offers both charming indoor and outdoor seating, fine food and drink, and live entertainment during the season.
The Main Street Inn is located on the corner of 3rd and Main and situated within the five block business district of the beautiful mountain town of Highlands, North Carolina, with award winning Zagat and Wine Spectator fine dining restaurants and elegant local specialty shops just a short walk down Main Street. Highlands is a quaint mountain town offering cultural events such as professional theater, symphony, The Bascom, a world class art museum and educational facility, spa services, a local brewery, and several cozy pubs. Close by there are several activities available such as a local wine vineyard, zipline park, golfing, waterfalls, hiking, boating, canoeing, ice-skating and skiing, as well as other outdoor offerings.
